If you are looking for extreme, flamboyant, or in your face this is not us.  If you are looking for good music, cool sounds, and a memorable set this is Just Us. We have been a duo for 13 years both professionally and personally. We are singer-songwriters who are great performers.

After moving to Dallas from Oregon, then back to Oregon, again, we found our musical niche.....Americana-influenced folk, rock, pop, blues, and here we are, ready to share our unique and eclectic cabaret style with you.

 

Jeff Cater is a musician who for many years in touring bands, duos, and lounge acts, has played music from Classic Rock and Roll to Blues to Pop Music, always with the creativity and dynamics of an artist.  A multi-instrumentalist, he has found that he enjoys the acoustic guitar as his #1 instrument.  As a journeyman luthier formerly with Breedlove Guitar, his guitar knowledge has helped him create his own distinct, playing style and sound.

Julie Cater, who has always performed, has a voice beyond compare. The unique sound of Julie's vocals creates atmosphere that when she has finished a set you want to spend time with her. She can quiet a room with the airy whisper, and blast a note that will shake the walls.

Together, as Just-Us, we write songs of love, heartbreak, and life, always trying to smear the edges of genre.  We like to hear that our CD, Aspen Winds, is your favorite CD you like to listen to in your car, on the freeway or driving across country.   Onstage, we aspire to create a comfort food-esque musical experience. Our goal is to become the friends you want to visit again and again.
